‘Fruit Bowl Friends’ is a children’s picture book that aims to bring awareness about how far our fruit has to travel to be placed in our fruit bowls.

The story begins by introducing two apples who dream about apple pie & crumble. I remember these desserts from school dinners, but I didn’t know how the apples ended up served to me with custard. Maybe if I had read this book, I would have thought more about the journey those apples took.

I mainly worked on Procreate on my I-Pad Pro, however I also incorporated hand-painted watercolour and ink textures, which I scanned in and digitally drew on top of.
