This project was commissioned by the charity ‘The Bank of Dreams and Nightmares’. Both the Bridport & Milan maps were featured in Vol. 2 of their newspaper ‘What’s Going On’, & each map is a double page spread.

‘The Bank of Dreams and Nightmares’ offer free creative writing workshops to children. They work with schools which have a high proportion of pupils who experience socio or economic disadvantage.

Each map shows a variety of places around the local neighbourhoods of Bridport and Milan. The children chose which of their favourite places to include in the map, as well as the strangest places, and a place they wished they could add to their neighbourhood.

‘The Bank of Dreams and Nightmares’ worked with another charity in Italy ‘La Grande Fabbrica delle Parole’ to commission the two maps.
