Wedding Stationery: Save the Date

I designed these Save the Date A6 postcards for my own wedding. This was a really enjoyable project as I had freedom over what I created. I included elements of my own interests, including food illustration and hand written text.

Wedding Stationery:

The Invite

These A6 invites are in a concertina format, meaning that they fold out to show the full layout below. The green dotted lines are the fold lines.

I didn’t use handwritten type for the invites because I wanted them to have a more formal feel to them. To link the Save the Dates and the invites, I repeated some of the illustrations from the Save the Dates, and used the same background texture. As our wedding is in October, I used a very autumnal, natural & muted colour palette.

The invites were printed on lovely, thick recycled paper. The envelopes I chose were a mossy green, with an ivory pearlescent wax seal in the shape of a pumpkin to finish the look.

Wedding Stationery:

Just a note to say…

This little A7 note is so exciting because it’s gold foiled! (That’s right, I am bringing out all the stops for my wedding stationery…) It’s the first thing that I have designed & ordered foiled, and I am obsessed! I made a mock-up below of the gold elements, but it really needs to be seem in the flesh to appreciate the beauty of the gold detail.
